Internships

At ilili, we offer dynamic internship opportunities for passionate individuals eager to contribute to marine conservation in Honduras. As an intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in marine biology, conservation research, and community engagement, working alongside our dedicated team of scientists and conservationists.

What You’ll Do:

Field Research

Participate in fieldwork, including shark and ray monitoring, marine habitat assessments, and data collection. You’ll work directly with our research teams on innovative projects that aim to protect endangered species and preserve marine ecosystems.

Community

Engagement

Collaborate with local communities and indigenous groups to promote sustainable practices and raise awareness about marine conservation. You’ll be involved in educational outreach programs and citizen science initiatives, helping to empower the next generation of conservation leaders.

Data Analysis and Reporting

Assist in analyzing data from our ongoing research projects. Your work will contribute to reports and publications that inform conservation strategies and support our mission to protect marine life.

Conservation Education

Help design and deliver educational materials and workshops for schools, local communities, and international volunteers. You’ll play a key role in spreading the message of conservation and inspiring others to get involved.

What are we looking for?

  • A strong interest in marine biology, conservation, or environmental science.

  • Enthusiasm for working in diverse environments, including fieldwork in remote areas.

  • A commitment to conservation and a passion for protecting marine ecosystems.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Previous experience in fieldwork, research, or community outreach is a plus but not required.
