Alpha Sevilla
Program Coordinator
Alpha is a biologist who graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH). She has dedicated herself to supporting conservation initiatives for turtles and elasmobranchs in the Gulf of Fonseca, as well as promoting community development projects. Her efforts include the formulation and execution of key projects, such as the Olive Ridley monitoring program lead by the Olive Ridley Turtle Research Center (CITG) and leading elasmobranch landing monitoring in the Honduran Pacific. Alpha believes that conservation efforts should not only focus on ecosystem preservation but also on improving the living conditions of the associated communities. Her long-term vision is that these actions will significantly enhance the ecological system of the Gulf of Fonseca, benefiting both biodiversity and local human communities.
